Adam Ward is the Lead Pastor of Christian Life Church. He has attended CLC since May 2011 and began serving the church in January of 2012 as youth pastor. In 2016, the board of Elders asked Adam to take on the role of Lead Pastor. Formerly, he and his wife, Emily, served seven years as youth ministers at Little Chapel Church in Harrisburg, Illinois. Adam also currently works at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale in the cardiac catheterization lab. Adam is a registered nurse and has been a RN since July 2009.
Adam and Emily have two children, Landon Walker and Arissa Jane. Emily is currently a school teacher at Unity Christian School in Energy, Illinois. Adam enjoys bow hunting, basketball, and riding ATV's. His favorite food would be a New York Strip steak from Fireflies in Effingham, Illinois.
Adam's heart is to see the Body of CLC encounter Jesus—not relying on the world for joy, happiness, recognition, or fulfillment—but giving their lives to follow the One who gives life, and life abundantly—Jesus.

Lori Burchell serves as the Executive Pastor of Christian Life Church. She began attending CLC in 2001 and started volunteering in the Production Department soon after. Leaving her position of 16 years as the Director of Partner Relations for an international Christian television network, Lori came on staff of CLC in June of 2012.
Raised in a family of pastors, Lori has been singing in church since she was four years old and began leading worship at the age of 16. Now over 30 years later, Lori continues to serve as one of the Worship Leaders of CLC, as well as overseeing the entire Production Department.
Lori frequently ministers in the Word at CLC, as a guest speaker in other churches, and at women’s conferences. She has organized several community worship services, including the multi-cultural, “Unity in Worship” events held at CLC and the National Day of Prayer yearly event.
She understands the power of worship and what happens when people experience the presence of God, especially during corporate worship times. Lori’s passion is that everything that is done in our services (worship, drama, sound, lighting, and media) should be done with excellence to compel individuals towards a life-changing experience with Christ.
Lori and her husband Mike have five grown children between them and six beautiful grandchildren. Lori’s hobbies include reading fiction, walking, listening to worship music and drinking coffee!! While she enjoys traveling, she describes herself as more of a homebody.

Pam Collins is the Children’s Ministry Director at CLC. After years of visiting the church’s special services and events, God led her to make CLC her home church. From the time she accepted Christ at age twelve Pam has been active in Christian outreach. Her first act of living out Christ’s command to spread the Gospel was when she recruited a junior-high Christian friend to go with her door to door giving out Bibles and sharing about Jesus. And, she’s been serving her Lord ever since. Pam has worked in church nurseries and has taught all grades of Sunday School and Children’s Church. Additionally, she has served in the role of Junior and Senior High youth leader. Over the years she has also been a part of various church committees and service projects.
Pam received her degree in Elementary Education with Junior High endorsements and a minor in English from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. After graduation she accepted a position with John A. Logan College as both an Assistant Adult Literacy Coordinator and a Family Literacy Educator.
She married her high-school sweetheart, Mike, and they have two grown children. Their son has stayed close to home and still lives in Southern Illinois. Their daughter, however, lives on the island of Oahu in Hawaii with her husband and their three children. Although Pam enjoys visiting Hawaii she would prefer her grandbabies live closer to home.
Pam is a novice gardener who has high aspirations of someday becoming a master gardener. She’s also a bit of a foodie and enjoys orchestrating and cooking grand themed dinners. Reading for information is an obsession of hers but she wants to eventually give her brain a rest and read for pleasure. With all that said, what she loves most is sitting around a fire with family and friends, roasting hot dogs, eating s’mores and talking about Jesus.
